Coronavirus in China in 24 hours: 15 newly infected, 11 deceased

Authorities in China have recorded 15 new confirmed cases of new coronavirus infection and 11 more deaths in the past 24 hours, Xinhua News Agency reported on March 12. Among all deaths, 10 are in Hubei Province the epicenter of the epidemic and one in Shaanxi Province, the National Health Commission said. Another 33 people are under suspicion of infection. A total of 1,318 people were discharged from hospitals in China on recovery from the virus, and the number of severe cases of illness decreased by 235 to 4,257. The total number of confirmed infections in mainland China reached 80,793, including 14,831 patients who are still being treated in hospitals. The number of patients recovered reached 62,793.
