Supplies of the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine to US pharmacies increased 46 times after the words of American leader Donald Trump about the use of this drug against coronavirus infection, The New York Times reported. According to the newspaper, deliveries increased 46 times compared to the pre-coronavirus pandemic. According to the news agency, on April 22, a group of scientists from the United States called hydroxychloroquine an ineffective COVID-19 for the treatment of HIV. They indicated that clinical trials of the drug before approval were needed to treat coronavirus infection.
