115 Iranians have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours
On June 20, a spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said that 115 Iranians had died of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 9507. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. Sadat Lari noted that taking into account 115 new deaths, the total death toll increased to 9,507 people. Over the past 24 hours, 2,322 new cases of COVID-19 infection were discovered, about 595 people were hospitalized, the spokeswoman said. Lari also stressed that a total of 202,584 Iranians were exposed to COVID-19 infection throughout the country, about 161,384 of whom were discharged from the hospital and recovered from the virus. According to her, 2842 patients are currently in critical condition and are being treated in intensive care units. At the same time, to date, 1,395,675 surveys have been conducted in Iran to detect the infection of COVID-19.
