In Poland, the day of silence came before the second round of presidential elections

In Poland, on July 11, on the eve of Sunday's vote in the second round of the presidential election, a day of silence came when any form of direct or indirect campaigning for candidates is prohibited. Within two days before the closure of polling stations on the evening of July 12, the country is not allowed to discuss the programs of candidates, publish their ratings and conduct sociological surveys. Local media will be able to publish exit polls only after closing at 21:00 on July 12, 27 thousand polling stations, which will open on this day at 07:00. Recall that the current head of state Andrzej Duda, who is running for a second term and supported by the ruling party Law and Justice Yaroslav Kaczynski, claims for the presidency in Poland. The mayor of Warsaw, Rafal Tszaskowski, representing Poland's largest opposition party, Civic Platform, opposes him. According to the news agency, the current president of Poland, Andrzej Duda, who leads the vote, received 43.5% of the vote in the first round of the presidential election, which requires a second round, and his rival Rafal Tszaskowski 30.46% of the vote. Earlier, Duda accepted the proposal of the candidate from the opposition Tshaskovsky Civil Coalition to hold a television debate before the second round.
