Putin: conditions have been created in Syria for a political and diplomatic settlement

The head of state said this today, July 1, during a video conference of the heads of Russia, Iran and Turkey on the Syrian settlement. According to Putin, three countries in Russia, Iran and Turkey have really managed to do a lot for Syria. The level of violence has been reduced, a gradual restoration of peaceful life is underway. The main thing was created prerequisites for a sustainable political and diplomatic settlement on the basis of UN Security Council resolution 2254, the Russian leader said. He emphasized that this resolution laid down the fundamental principle of commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria.
