Venezuela and Iran will continue to develop relations, despite US sanctions
On September 22, Venezuela condemned the US aggression, as well as the pressure of the US authorities on Tehran and Caracas, saying that the two sides would continue to develop friendly relations, despite the negative effect of the sanctions. This was reported by the Iranian agency Mehr News. Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza condemned the recent actions of the United States against a country seeking to impose unilateral sanctions against Constitutional President Nicolas Maduro Moros as part of the ongoing campaign of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and Venezuela. He categorically rejected Washington's position on the resumption of coercive measures against Iran unilaterally, with complete disregard for the decision of the UN Security Council. The diplomat confirmed that Venezuela will continue to adhere to international norms and will defend its sovereign right to freely establish economic and commercial relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and with any other State on the basis of the rules governing international trade.
